Dear Friends, Wellwishers and fellow Countrymen,

The (COVID-19) Pandemic has caused several challenges, making the children and parents vulnerable, thus exposing the violations in Private Schools like never before, therefore it has  brought the parent community together and infused fresh blood to overcome the challenges.

The idea of a Parent's Association was born on Children's Day 14th Nov 2020 at Freedom Park, where Parents from all walks of life culminated to Protect the Children's Fundamental Right to Education and to Protest against the violations by Private Schools and the Apathy of Competent Authorities, and to draw the attention of the Government.

There was a huge demand to form an association as it is the need of the hour, to have a proper forum, for the "Voice of Parents" to be heard by the Government and Competent Authorities, thus deriving its name.

The issues at Private Unaided Schools are not new, they have manifest over a prolonged period of time, some of the common issues visible like the tip if the iceberg are, No PTA or SDMC, Fees, Books, Uniforms and Shoes, e.t.c. and many violations like Conditions of Recognition, Conditions of N.O.C and Conditions of Affiliation are not visible, there is no mechanism in School to address the issues as PTA / SDMC either don't exist or they are a farce put up by the managements and individual efforts are firewalled by the Managements, leading to an opportunity for parents to meet and connect together, thus we are here.

This Association has been formed with the objective to enhance Cooperation between the Parents, Private Schools Managements and their Associations, CISCE and CBSE Boards and Associations of their Affiliated Schools, Education department and the Government, for effective implementation and Enforcement of Central and State Acts, Rules, Regulations, Education policies and initiatives in Private Schools of Karnataka, Cooperate with MHRD, MHA, NCPCR, Human Rights Commission, NCERT, e.t.c.

The founder Members of this Unique Association are  an extraordinary Breed of Righteous Parents who have decided to stand-up against the wrongs' and led from the front actively and voluntarily, amongst us we also have Parents' who have been engaged since several years in addressing the shortcomings and have been actively Engaging with the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR), District Education Regulatory Authority (DERA), Commissioner for Public Instruction (CPI), e.t.c. and as responsible Citizens' have been supporting the Education department in implementing the Acts, Rules and Regulations in Private Schools.

This movement is not owned by anybody and nobody will be allowed to hijack it.
